Mike Boyce

Like many people of my generation we were the product of parents who believed in hard work and I was fortunate enough to receive that same work ethic from my parents. My name is Mike Boyce and I am one of the newest members of the EXIT Realty Fusion Team.

I wanted to do something with my life in which I could help people and found that police work filled that need. So in the mid 70's I left my home in Nova Scotia to join the RCMP. I served with the RCMP in Saskatchewan for over 30 years and continue to be involved with them in a minor capacity. I served in the communities of Milestone, Melville, Pierceland, Yorkton and Regina prior to my retirement.

I don't believe "retired" is an appropriate term for most people and it certainly isn't in my case. My wife Tammy, who was also a member of the RCMP, and I both left at the same time from our nation’s police force. We opened Chakari Spa in the Sandman Hotel on East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK. Tammy has that business well in hand and although I'm involved in a minor capacity she's the lady at the helm.

My wife and I decided it was time to take up some recreational pursuits and started golfing and running. I guess we didn't have enough frustrations in our lives. We're enjoying getting out on the greens and when I actually retire I might know something about the game of golf. One of our first ventures into running was being part of a relay team in the Queen City Marathon this year. It was a great time and we plan to do it again next year. We're also running in the upcoming Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.

We as a family are strong supporters of the Regina Humane Society and we have a house full of various creatures including two dogs, four birds and fish. Anyone who has been to our spa will have met Simon our African Gray parrot.

I found one of the most rewarding aspects of policing was dealing with the public and the personal feeling of accomplishment I felt when I was able to resolve a problem for someone. In my latter postings in the RCMP I had lost my connection with the public due to the type of work I was doing. Since coming to real estate and the team at Exit Realty Fusion I have again found that connection. I am enjoying the opportunity to again to be able to help people solve their problems as they relate to their real estate needs.

Watching my father run his electrical contract business and being able to help him on some of his building projects gave me an appreciation for construction and quality craftsmanship.

I believe with my experience and training I'll be able to help you make your real estate adventure a much more enjoyable experience. I look forward to working with you.
